Purchasing ManagerThe Purchasing Manager will lead a group of Supply Chain professionals to implement the strategic and operational performance of supply chain activity for the B&W businesses, including both direct and indirect spend. For day to day operations, this Supply Chain group is responsible for gathering requirements, requesting proposals & quotes from potential suppliers, evaluating bids, developing and executing negotiation strategies, issuing purchase orders, managing supplier execution, ensuring on-time delivery and quality, expediting, managing vendor claims, and processing invoices in support of the B&W business units. In addition, this position is responsible for developing and directing the procurement strategy with respect to category management, product sourcing, vendor relations, and working with our project management teams. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in supply chain management, strong customer focus, excellence in leading & developing diverse teams, developing and executing sourcing and negotiation strategies, and managing the overall performance of the supply chain organization through hands on leadership and effective use of key performance indicators for the organization.Responsible for day to day leadership and development of a team of project procurement managers.
