Job Summary

Eurest is seeking an experienced Purchasing/Procurement Specialist to join our corporate team (supporting our American Airlines Lounges)

This is a fantastic remote-based opportunity. Must be able to travel up to 10%.

Key Purchasing Specialist responsibilities include:

  • Mass Add Menu Order Guide (MOG) menu changes.
  • Mass Discontinue Dead Stock Items
  • Source approved items for Contract
  • Develop best practices for purchasing for each product on contract/compass catalog
  • Assist individual units with product sourcing and best purchasing practices and provide expertise in relation to PAX
  • Submit product requests for items to order guides/ track and follow up with units & purveyor
  • Submit new vendor requests as needed for contract
  • Assist in new openings & menu changes with creating new order guides, shelf to sheet inventories, dead stock removal & best purchasing/receiving practices
  • Manage list of approved small wares for Contract
  • Submit & Manage Large PO requests for Contract.
  • Organize Bi-Weekly Purchasing calls for each region discussing best practices, item shortages, substitutions, vendor relationships, PAX & menu strategy, as well as leakage
  • Organize effort to contain the contract leakage with off catalog purchases
  • Provide both contract usage and unit level usage to multiple vendors in effort to manage menu purchasing
  • Work with Chefs to develop new menus & source ingredients

Ideal qualifications include:

-Must have foodservice experience (culinary management role)

-Fluent understanding of contract services partnership and purchasing

-Expert level excel spreadsheet experience; strong business intelligence systems acumen

-Demonstrated ability to work remotely - time management and prioritization

-Forecasting experience (product/inventory level) preferred
