Today, 70 years later, ArmaFlex continues to be a pillar of Armacell's success.*The Conover Purchasing Specialist coordinates all raw materials purchases for Conover to include vendor contacts, required paperwork, and raw materials tracking, cycle counting, and inventory activities. Coordinate purchasing for all sundry items, such as safety, janitorial, office, and IT supplies. Also, it provides support related to the purchase of maintenance equipment and supplies as well as the purchase of new and used equipment for the facility.**What Armacell can offer you*** Healthcare benefits including medical & prescription drug coverage, dental, vision, and mental health & wellbeing.* Financial programs such as 401(k), life insurance, short & long- term disability coverage, and opportunities for performance-based salary incentive programs.* Generous paid time off including 12 holidays and 120 hours of PTO.* Training and educational resources on our personalized learning management system.* Giving & volunteer opportunities, and discounts on retail products, services & experiences.**Job Responsibilities*** Coordinate purchase of direct and indirect materials.* Coordinates with Plant Planner to ensure supply of raw materials to maintain production requirements.* Maintain optimal inventory levels and quantities, including all aspects of physical inventories to ensure timely availability of products.* Maintain current list of approved vendors.* Track raw materials usage using SAP system.* Perform cycle counts to verify correct raw material levels.* Negotiate vendor agreements for blanket orders of maintenance and man supplies, system contracts, and service contracts for plant equipment and calibrations.* Provide the proper documentation /record keeping for managing the accounting and budget allowances.* Maintains SAP master data by ensuring supplier master data and material master data (delivery date, payment terms, prices, etc.) are updated.* Coordinate removal of hazardous and non-hazardous waste from facility by arranging with approved vendors to remove materials; maintain and update appropriate records to include MSDS documents and manifests (Conover Only)* Other duties assigned.**Job Knowledge/Experience:*** The position requires a high school diploma or equivalent. Prefer Associate Degree.* 2 – 4 years in purchasing field. Prefer raw materials purchasing background.* Excellent computer skills, working knowledge of Microsoft spreadsheets, databases, and work processing required. SAP experience is preferred.* Considerable judgment is required in this position; incumbent would normally consult with department manager and plant manager for critical decisions that would affect the company financial or legal status.* Excellent interpersonal and communication skills required.* Demonstrated ability to plan and perform diversified duties.* Excellent time management and the ability to prioritize work.* Ability to work independently and multi-task in a fast-paced environment.* Armacell will not consider applicants for employment immigration sponsorship or support for this position. Be an active participant in workplace safety by helping create and maintain a safe work environment.**Posting Dates**February 5, 2026 - February 20, 2026The expected compensation range for this role is $75,000.00 -$85,000.00.The compensation range and benefits for this position are based on a full-time schedule for a full calendar year. The salary will vary depending on your job-related skills, experience, and location. Pay increment and frequency of pay will be in accordance with employment classification and applicable laws. For part time roles, your compensation and benefits will be adjusted to reflect your hours.
