Position Summary:

Aegis Worldwide is partnered with a manufacturer in the Fillmore, IN area who is seeking a purchasing specialist who will contribute to procurement operations by coordinating with suppliers, assisting with production control, and analyzing data to help ensure materials are delivered on time, meet quality standards, and remain cost-effective.


Must Haves:

  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain/related business degree Or 2+ years of procurement experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel as well as experience with ERP systems


Job Responsibilities:

  • Generate purchasing reports and perform data analysis using Excel and ERP systems.
  • Partner with Manufacturing, Engineering, Quality, Planning, and Finance to meet production targets and program objectives.
  • Provide purchasing support for engineering changes, new part launches, and overall program rollouts.
  • Help resolve supply issues such as material shortages, supplier interruptions, and premium freight situations.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement efforts while adhering to internal policies and procedures.
  • Support sourcing initiatives, including preparing and issuing RFQs, evaluating quotations, and conducting supplier cost comparisons.
  • Track and assess supplier performance in quality, cost, and delivery (QCD), escalating concerns when necessary.
  • Review and interpret purchasing and spend data, including analysis of purchase price variances and material cost fluctuations.
