Purchasing Specialist Apply
Carolina PRG is partnering with a manufacturing company to identify a Purchasing Assistant to support day-to-day procurement operations in a fast-paced production environment. This role will work closely with Purchasing, Operations, and Accounting to ensure materials and supplies are ordered accurately, delivered on time, and properly documented.Key ResponsibilitiesAssist with the creation, review, and processing of purchase orders in the ERP systemCommunicate with vendors regarding order status, pricing, delivery timelines, and discrepanciesTrack open purchase orders and follow up on late or incomplete deliveriesSupport inventory coordination by ensuring materials are ordered in alignment with production needsReview vendor invoices for accuracy and assist with resolving pricing or quantity discrepanciesMaintain accurate purchasing records, documentation, and supplier filesCollaborate with Accounting to support invoice matching and month-end activitiesAssist with supplier setup, updates, and compliance documentationSupport continuous improvement initiatives related to purchasing processes and controlsPerform additional administrative or purchasing-related tasks as neededQualificationsAssociate or Bachelor’s degree preferred (Business, Supply Chain, Accounting, or related field)1–3 years of experience in purchasing, procurement, supply chain, or a related administrative roleStrong attention to detail and organizational skillsEffective written and verbal communication skillsProficiency with Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office toolsExperience with ERP systems preferred (manufacturing environment a plus)Ability to manage multiple priorities and work cross-functionally
