We will know we have succeeded when we can reliably and rapidly generate cell products that consistently produce positive outcomes in patients.For more information about the company, please visit our website at a Purchasing Specialist, you will support Cellistic’s operational excellence by ensuring timely, compliant, and cost-effective procurement of goods and services in a GMP-regulated biotech environment. You will manage assigned purchasing categories, collaborate closely with internal stakeholders, and build strong relationships with suppliers to support Cellistic’s growth and operational needs.Key Responsibilities Purchasing & Category ManagementManage purchasing activities for assigned categories of goods and services.Analyse demand, supplier markets, and historical spend to support sourcing decisions.Contribute to category strategies in line with operational and financial objectives.Prepare and manage purchase orders in accordance with internal procedures.Supplier Management & NegotiationIdentify, evaluate, and manage suppliers in collaboration with quality and technical teams.Support contract negotiations, pricing discussions, and commercial agreements.Monitor supplier performance, delivery reliability, and quality compliance.Act as a first point of contact for suppliers for operational purchasing topics.Cost Control & Performance MonitoringSupport cost optimisation initiatives and track savings.Monitor purchasing KPIs (cost, delivery performance, compliance).Prepare purchasing analyses and reports to support decision-making.Risk Management & GMP ComplianceEnsure purchasing activities comply with internal policies, GMP requirements, and regulatory standards.Support supplier qualification and requalification processes.Contribute to audit readiness and support quality or regulatory inspections when required.Stakeholder CollaborationWork closely with internal stakeholders (Operations, Technical Services, QA, R&D, Finance).Translate operational needs into effective purchasing solutions.Provide visibility on purchasing status, risks, and timelines.Process Improvement & ToolsContribute to continuous improvement of purchasing processes and tools.Support implementation of new systems, templates, or procurement initiatives.Stay informed of market trends and supplier innovations relevant to Cellistic.Required Qualifications & ExperienceBachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain, Logistics, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience).5–10 years of experience in purchasing, procurement, or supply chain roles.Experience in GMP-regulated environments (biotech, pharma, life sciences) is a strong asset.Proven experience working with suppliers and managing purchasing activities.Comfortable with data analysis and KPI tracking (Excel, ERP systems).Experience in project-based and cross-functional environments.Our new colleague will be…Structured, reliable, and detail-oriented, able to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment.Proactive and solution-oriented, taking ownership of tasks and driving improvements.A strong communicator and negotiator, able to build effective relationships with suppliers and internal stakeholders.Team-oriented, collaborative, and committed to supporting colleagues across functions.Curious and analytical, comfortable using data to make informed purchasing decisions.Fluent in English, with French or Dutch as an additional asset.Job Location: Mont-Saint-Guibert, BelgiumPosition Type: Full-TimeStart Date: ImmediatelyWe offer you a challenging position in a dynamic biotech company with room for personal growth and development.
