We are looking for a Purchasing Specialist III. What will you do? Support the development, management, and assessment of suppliers to ensure their capabilities align with company standards.Analyze the supplier database to evaluate quality, reliability, and price competitiveness of suppliers.Assist in the development and maintenance of department metrics and scorecards for supplier performance evaluation.Manage or support the management of commodity life cycles to optimize procurement processes.Support negotiation and award of contracts within specified spending limits, ensuring compliance with company policies.How will you do it? Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align supplier capabilities with organizational needs.Utilize analytical tools and methodologies to assess supplier performance and identify areas for improvement.Maintain clear communication with suppliers to foster strong relationships and negotiate favorable terms.Implement and monitor supplier scorecards to track performance metrics and drive continuous improvement.What are we looking for?  University degree and a minimum of 1 year of relevant experience, or a 2-year degree with a minimum of 6 years of experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and make informed decisions.Excellent communication and negotiation skills.Proficient in procurement processes and supplier management strategies.Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and manage multiple priorities effectively.What do we offer?  Comprehensive benefits package. Opportunities for professional growth and development. Supportive and inclusive work environment. Commitment to work-life balance and employee well-being. Engagement in meaningful projects that make a difference.  Johnson Controls does not request pregnancy or HIV testing as a condition for hiring, continued employment, or promotion, in accordance with its commitment to labor equality and non-discrimination.
