Job Description Purchasing Supervisor Summary The Purchasing Supervisor will be responsible for receiving all goods that come through the loading. Additionally, this role will be responsible for reconciling and clearing all exceptions in the procurement system. The Purchasing Supervisor will contribute to the organization as an active business partner that is responsible for supporting the company's goals, objectives, vision, mission, and values. Essential Functions Receives various orders either non-consumable or Food & Beverage, checks for quantity, quality, breakage and compares packing lists and invoices with Purchase Orders. Completes a credit memo for any returns or breakage. Directs deliveries to various departments and/or individuals on a pre-set delivery schedule. Receives all incoming package deliveries from UPS, FedEx, DHL, Golden State Overnight, etc and records incoming appropriately and accurately. Verifies named receiving individuals or guest via the Opera system. Processes all outgoing shipping and post all charges within the Opera system. Completes a daily receiving report and distributes accordingly. Clears all exceptions in the procurement platform on a daily basis. Follows up with vendor on missing invoices. Prepares month end accrual for accounting based on received goods and services that have not been paid. Qualifications High School Degree or equivalent Must possess intermediate computer skills Previous shipping and receiving experience Must be able to speak, read, write and understand English Preferred Luxury hotel experience strongly preferred Previous experience with Birchstreet Procurement Platform Physical Requirements Must be able to work in extreme temperatures like freezers (-10°F) and kitchens (+110°F), possibly for one hour or more. Position requires walking, must be able to stand and exert well-paced mobility for up to 6 hours in length. Length of time of these tasks may vary from day to day and task to task. Must be able to exert well-paced ability to reach different outlets and other departments of the Resort on a timely basis. Must be able to bend, stoop, squat and stretch to fulfill tasks. Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. on a regular and continuing basis. Must be able to lift odd shaped boxes and containers frequently. Must be able to push and pull carts and equipment weighing up to 250 lbs. occasionally. Requires grasping, writing, standing, sitting, walking, repetitive motions, bending, climbing, listening and hearing ability and visual acuity. Talking and hearing occur continuously in the process of communicating with guests, supervisors and subordinates. Vision occurs continuously with the most common visual functions being those of near vision and depth perception. Requires manual dexterity to use and operate all necessary equipment. The pay rate for this position is $30/hour. The pay scale is the base salary or hourly wage range, exclusive of incentive pay such as commissions, piece rates, gratuities, and may include other factors, that Montage reasonably expects to pay for the position.
