Job Title: Python Backend Developer (Azure) Location: Chicago, IL (Onsite) Type: Long-Term Contract - W2 / C2C Job Summary: We are seeking an experienced Python Backend Developer with strong hands-on experience in Azure cloud services . The ideal candidate will design, develop, and maintain backend systems and APIs, ensuring scalability, performance, and security across distributed applications. Key Responsibilities: Develop, test, and deploy backend services and APIs using Python frameworks (FastAPI, Flask, or Django). Integrate applications with Azure Cloud services including Azure Functions, Azure App Service, and Azure SQL. Design and manage RESTful APIs for data exchange and integration. Implement CI/CD pipelines and automate deployments using Azure DevOps. Work closely with frontend developers, DevOps engineers, and architects to deliver high-quality solutions. Write efficient, reusable, and testable code while following best practices. Monitor application performance and optimize backend operations. Required Skills & Qualifications: 9+ years of professional experience as a Backend Developer using Python . Strong experience with Azure Cloud Services (App Services, Functions, Storage, Azure SQL, etc.). Proficiency in REST API development and microservices architecture . Experience with Docker , Kubernetes , or other container orchestration tools. Hands-on experience with Azure DevOps , CI/CD pipelines , and Git . Solid understanding of database design (SQL & NoSQL). Knowledge of authentication and authorization mechanisms (OAuth2, JWT). Excellent problem-solving and communication skills. Preferred Qualifications: Experience with serverless architecture in Azure. Familiarity with message queues (Azure Service Bus, Kafka, RabbitMQ). Understanding of data security and compliance in cloud environments.
