Job Description

We are hiring a highly skilled Python Backend Developer with strong Machine Learning experience to join a fast-paced engineering team supporting critical initiatives at Apple Inc.. The ideal candidate will have solid expertise in backend development using Python, building scalable REST APIs and microservices, working with cloud infrastructure, and developing machine learning models and training pipelines. This role requires hands-on experience integrating ML-based features into production applications and collaborating closely with cross-functional engineering and data science teams.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend applications using Python.
• Build and optimize RESTful APIs and microservices.
• Develop, train, and deploy machine learning models.
• Create and maintain model training pipelines and ML-based features.
• Integrate machine learning solutions into production systems.
• Work with cloud platforms such as AWS, GCP, or Azure.
• Perform data processing and utilize modern data tooling.
• Collaborate with software engineers, data scientists, and product teams.
• Monitor and improve application performance, scalability, and reliability.
• Work independently while integrating effectively with an existing engineering team.

Requirements

• 6 8 years of software development experience
• Strong Python and backend engineering background
• Hands-on machine learning experience
• Ability to work independently
• Available to work onsite in Austin five days per week
• Prior Apple Inc. experience is mandatory
