Python Developer

Job Description A major client of Insight Global is seeking a Python Developer with strong experience building APIs using FastAPI and deploying applications in a cloud environment. This individual will play a key role in developing scalable backend services, collaborating cross-functionally, and driving Python best practices across the team. Key Responsibilities Design, develop, and maintain RESTful APIs using Python and FastAPI Build scalable, high-performance backend services to support business applications Collaborate closely with the Technical Lead and engineering team on architecture and solution design Participate in Agile ceremonies including daily stand-ups, sprint planning, and retrospectives Write clean, reusable, and maintainable code following Python best practices Integrate APIs with cloud-based services and infrastructure (AWS preferred) Troubleshoot and optimize API performance, scalability, and reliability Skills and Requirements 5+ years of experience in Python development Hands‑on experience building APIs with FastAPI Experience working in a cloud environment: AWS (preferred) or Azure or Google Cloud Platform (GCP) Strong understanding of RESTful API design principles Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments Prior experience leveraging AI to enable improved development Equal Opportunity Statement We are a company committed to creating diverse and inclusive environments where people can bring their full, authentic selves to work every day.
