Base pay range $450,000.00/yr - $450,000.00/yr Overview Software Engineer – Python | New York We are seeking a Software Engineer to design and own a global reporting system that powers business-critical outputs across multiple products. This is a high-impact role in a fast-growing fintech environment where correctness, reliability, and performance are essential. You’ll collaborate closely with product, operations, and engineering teams to ensure reporting systems meet the highest standards and scale with the business. What You’ll Do Architect and build reporting and data transformation systems for financial and regulatory outputs. Design high-availability workflows and scheduling systems (e.g., Airflow) with tight SLAs. Implement monitoring, alerting, and observability (Datadog, Grafana, Prometheus). Write high-quality, generalizable, and test-driven code in Python, Pandas, and SQL (Snowflake/Postgres). Partner with stakeholders across business and engineering to deliver reporting solutions that drive growth. Contribute to a small, agile engineering team where collaboration, ownership, and iteration are key. What You Bring Strong background in financial, regulatory, or customer reporting systems. Experience in building production monitoring and observability frameworks. Proven ability to design scalable scheduling systems with >99% reliability. Advanced programming skills in Python, Pandas, SQL. Excellent communication skills to work effectively in a distributed team. Nice to Have Experience with parallel computing frameworks (PySpark, Dask). Knowledge of trading, risk management, or pricing systems.
