Job Summary:

The Python Developer role in Raleigh, NC involves designing, developing, and supporting data pipelines, dashboards, integrations, and migration processes across enterprise systems. The position focuses on moving data between legacy and modern platforms to ensure data quality and enable analytics and automation using Python and Power BI.

Responsibilities:
  • Develop and maintain data migration scripts, ETL pipelines, and automation workflows using Python.
  • Design, build, and optimize data models for reporting and analytics.
  • Create interactive dashboards, reports, and analytics solutions using Power BI.
  • Perform data extraction, transformation, validation, and loading between databases, APIs, and enterprise systems.
  • Optimize data processes for speed, reliability, and scalability.
  • Work with SQL queries, stored procedures, and database objects to support migration and reporting.
  • Integrate data from multiple sources, including cloud applications, on-premises systems, and flat files.
  • Collaborate with business teams to define reporting needs and translate them into technical solutions.
  • Analyze data quality issues, reconcile datasets, and implement best practices for data integrity.
  • Implement automation for recurring data tasks and reporting workflows.
  • Maintain documentation for data processes, source mappings, and migration steps.
  • Participate in architecture, design, and planning sessions for data modernization projects.
Required Skills & Certifications:
  • Strong hands-on experience with Python.
  • Proficiency with Power BI.
  • Experience designing and executing data migration or data conversion projects.
  • Strong SQL skills and experience working with relational databases such as SQL Server, PostgreSQL, Oracle, MySQL, or Ingres.
  • Understanding of data governance, security, and compliance requirements.
  • Strong troubleshooting ability and attention to detail.
Preferred Skills & Certifications:
  • Experience with cloud platforms such as Azure, AWS, or GCP.
  • Experience with Java development.
  • Experience with version control systems like Git or Subversion and CI/CD pipelines.
  • Knowledge of Power BI administration, including workspaces, gateways, and deployment strategies.
  • Experience with large-scale migration or modernization initiatives.
Special Considerations:
  • Work involves handling sensitive data requiring adherence to data governance, security, and compliance standards.
  • Collaboration with multiple teams and participation in architecture and design sessions.
Scheduling:
  • Regular shift from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM EST.
  • Position duration is 12+ months with possibility of extension.
