Job Summary (List Format):

- Take full ownership of an existing cloud-native application on Google Cloud Platform (GCP), primarily using App Engine and Data Store.
- Collaborate with the current resource to understand system architecture, workflows, data pipelines, integrations, and dependencies.
- Maintain and enhance Python-based application workflows, ensuring code quality, scalability, and performance.
- Design, develop, and optimize data queries and analytics with BigQuery for reporting and insights.
- Manage deployments, monitoring, and troubleshooting of the application in GCP.
- Identify and implement architectural improvements, cost optimizations, and automation opportunities.
- Ensure application uptime, reliability, and performance, including support for production incidents.
- Serve as the main point of accountability for the application, communicating with stakeholders, business users, and technical teams.
- Utilize strong hands-on experience with GCP services (App Engine, Data Store/Firestore, BigQuery).
- Apply proficiency in Python for backend development and data processing.
- Analyze and document existing systems, and propose enhancements.
- Leverage strong problem-solving, troubleshooting, communication, and collaboration skills.
- (Preferred) Experience with GCP IAM, Cloud Functions, Cloud Storage, Pub/Sub, DevOps practices, and CI/CD pipelines.
- (Preferred) Background in application ownership/transition, including knowledge transfer from existing teams.
