Skills Required
10+ years of proven experience as a Senior Software Developer/Data Engineer, crafting and implementing sophisticated data systems from scratch.
10+ years of robust data warehousing experience, specifically with Snowflake or AWS Redshift.
10+ years of hands‑on experience with SQL database design, advanced query authoring, optimization, and relational database management systems.
7+ years of extensive core development experience with Python.
Strong experience building and optimizing production‑grade big data data pipelines, architectures, and complex datasets.
Secondary (Good to Have)
5+ years of working experience with cloud infrastructure, preferably Microsoft Azure (data models, API design, and API development).
Technical expertise spanning data modeling, data mining, and segmentation techniques.
Proven experience working within Agile development environments.
Strong analytical skills related to parsing, cleaning, and leveraging unstructured datasets.
Excellent collaboration skills to support and work alongside cross‑functional teams in a high‑velocity environment.
Position Overview
We are seeking an elite, senior‑level Snowflake + Python Developer for a 10‑month onsite contract engagement based out of our New York City, NY or Raleigh, NC office locations. This senior role demands a seasoned data specialist with over a decade of experience building sophisticated, enterprise‑scale data systems from scratch. Operating within a fast‑paced, cross‑functional domain, the successful candidate will own the architecture, implementation, and optimization of critical Big Data pipelines, leveraging a powerful combination of Snowflake, advanced SQL, and Python to drive institutional data transformation strategies.
Roles & Responsibilities
Architect, build, and optimize robust, high‑performance big data data pipelines and architectures to process structured and unstructured datasets at scale.
Design and execute advanced SQL database schemas, author complex queries and engineer fine‑tuned data warehousing configurations within Snowflake.
Develop, test, and maintain sophisticated backend applications and data manipulation frameworks utilizing enterprise‑grade Python workflows.
Incorporate cloud technologies (preferably Azure) to design and deploy scalable APIs and underlying cloud data models that meet strict security and performance requirements.
Collaborate closely with cross‑functional stakeholders, analysts, and engineering teams within an Agile ecosystem to translate business demands into highly technical data mining and segmentation blueprints.
