Qa Automation Engineer

Job Summary:
We are looking for an experienced SDET / QA Automation Engineer with 6 10 years of experience in developing scalable automation frameworks for web, API, and microservices-based applications. The ideal candidate should possess strong programming skills in Java or Python, hands-on experience with Playwright, Cypress, or Selenium, and expertise in API automation, SQL, CI/CD, and Agile software development practices.

Key Responsibilities:
Develop and execute automated test scripts for web, API, and microservices applications.
Build, maintain, and enhance automation frameworks to improve test coverage.
Validate application functionality, performance, reliability, and scalability.
Perform API automation using REST Assured or Postman.
Execute SQL queries for database validation and data verification.
Work closely with development teams to identify, troubleshoot, and resolve defects.
Participate in sprint planning, test planning, and release activities.
Generate test execution reports, automation metrics, and quality dashboards.
Support CI/CD implementation and continuous testing initiatives.
Contribute to continuous improvement of automation processes and best practices.

Required Qualifications:
6+ years of experience in QA Automation or SDET roles.
Strong programming skills in Java or Python.
Hands-on experience with Playwright, Cypress, or Selenium.
Experience with REST Assured or Postman for API automation.
Strong SQL knowledge.
Experience with Git, Jenkins, and CI/CD pipelines.
Knowledge of Microservices architecture.
Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.
Strong analytical, debugging, and communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with AWS or Azure cloud platforms.
Kafka testing experience.
Experience with Docker and Kubernetes.
Performance testing using JMeter.
Experience with BDD using Cucumber.
Experience with MongoDB or Cassandra.
Knowledge of cloud-native application testing.
