Summary:
The Texas Health and Human Services Commission (HHSC) seeks five experienced QA Automation Engineers to perform quality assurance and testing for various social services applications, including web-based and mobile platforms. The role involves developing and maintaining automated test scripts, participating in Agile development, and ensuring software reliability and performance. This position requires strong technical expertise and communication skills to work with multidisciplinary teams.

Position Info:

  • Title: QA Engineer Automated 3
  • Client: Texas Department Of Health And Human Services
  • Duration: 7 Months
  • Location: Cedar Park, TX 78613
  • Work Mode: Remote

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct software quality assurance and testing for HHSC applications, including web and mobile platforms.
  • Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts for J2EE/Portal applications within a SOA platform.
  • Analyze requirements and create test plans and scenarios to ensure application functionality.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to achieve project goals using Agile methodologies.
  • Provide technical documentation and support for testing and implementation efforts.
  • Participate in design, coding, and test walk-through meetings.

Skills/Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in computer science, information systems, engineering, or related fields strongly preferred.
  • Minimum Experience:
  • 8+ years of experience in software development and SDLC processes, including Agile methodologies
  • 8+ years of knowledge in computer systems, programming languages, operating systems, and IT equipment.
  • 8+ years of experience analyzing requirements, writing test plans, and validating application performance.
  • Strong analytical skills to identify and resolve software issues.
  • Preferred Skills:
  • 3+ years of experience with testing tools such as Selenium, HP UFT, SoapUI, and HP ALM.
  • Familiarity with SQL, XML, JIRA, JAMA, and batch file creation.
  • Hands-on experience with both manual and automated testing techniques.
  • Strong collaboration skills, working with development and testing teams in an Agile environment
