Advantra is hiring multiple QA Engineers with strong automation experience to support regression, performance, and end-to-end testing for enterprise web applications.
About the role
You will design, build, and maintain automation frameworks to improve test coverage and reliability across frontend and backend systems. You will collaborate with developers and DevOps teams to ensure seamless integration and release readiness.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain automation test frameworks using Playwright, Selenium (TestNG), or Cypress.
- Build and execute end-to-end (E2E) regression and performance tests using JavaScript or TypeScript.
- Identify, prioritize, and automate critical test cases to maximize coverage.
- Debug, troubleshoot, and resolve test automation failures.
- Validate API functionality using REST Assured or similar tools.
- Execute data validation and verification tests across SQL and NoSQL databases.
- Review and maintain test scripts in version control systems (Git, GitHub).
- Collaborate with engineering teams to improve release quality and process efficiency.
- Participate in code reviews and contribute to QA automation standards.
- Provide regular feedback on system performance, reliability, and scalability.
Core requirements
- 5+ years of QA automation and framework development experience.
- Proficiency with Playwright, Selenium (TestNG), or Cypress.
- Strong programming skills in Java, JavaScript, or TypeScript.
- Experience testing web services and REST APIs.
- Familiarity with REST Assured or equivalent API testing tools.
- Working knowledge of SQL and NoSQL databases.
- Proficiency with Git and GitHub for version control.
- Strong debugging and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to collaborate across teams and influence QA best practices.
- Experience driving innovation and continuous improvement in QA processes.
Nice to have
- Experience with performance and load testing tools.
- Exposure to CI/CD pipelines and DevOps integration.
- Familiarity with Docker or containerized test environments.
- Experience with test result analytics and reporting dashboards.
- Knowledge of testing in cloud environments (AWS, GCP, Azure).
