Job Description:Manage quality and laboratory daily tasks through protocols and procedure established by Bushy Park Quality Management. Timely and thorough measurements for finished goods and plant operations directly impacts the reliability, operability, and safety of the Business Unit. Effective communication and strong organizational skills ensure the efficient utilization of plant assets and the verification of quality material.
This position impacts the performance of daily operations not only by ensuring and deciding if produced finished goods meet standard customer requirements, but also monitoring that production plant meets environmental output requirements. May be required to perform job related functions not detailed or outside current job description.
Perform daily routine laboratory analytical testing on raw materials, in process samples, and finished goods.
Enter analytical results in the appropriate databases in a timely manner and generate COAs when necessary
Support and report specific HSEQ related functions such as wastewater monitoring, safety related functions
Report periodic statistical results to Quality Management to identify deviations and provide corrective measures or alternative solutions to deviations
Complete and be current in relevant laboratory and safety related training as required
Provides support for a multi-unit chemical operation with high-risk potential due to highly hazardous chemicals used at site. Must be able to identify and solve problems of a technical nature. Requires good analytical skills to solve complex problems individually and as a team. Needs good organizational skills to ensure legally required files are maintained.
Skills/Experience:BS Degree in Science or Engineering preferred but not required; Non-degreed individuals must have proven scientific or engineering experience with the technology, procedures, or methods
Up to three years' experience required.
Working knowledge of SAP.
