Role: QA Lead Playwright and Automation

Location: Mount Juliet, TN

Key Responsibilities

Lead the end-to-end test automation strategy with a primary focus on Playwright-based frameworks.

Design, develop, and maintain scalable, reusable, and robust automation frameworks for web applications.

Establish best practices for UI, API, and end-to-end testing using Playwright.

Drive shift-left testing practices and integrate automation into CI/CD pipelines.

Collaborate with developers, product managers, and DevOps teams to ensure high-quality releases.

Review and improve existing automation suites for reliability, performance, and coverage.

Mentor and guide QA engineers on automation standards, coding practices, and testing methodologies.

Define and track quality metrics, test coverage, and defect leakage.

Ensure cross-browser and cross-platform test coverage using Playwright capabilities.

Lead root cause analysis and implement preventive quality measures.

Required Qualifications

8+ years in QA, with at least 3+ years in a lead or senior automation role.

Strong hands-on experience with Playwright (JavaScript/TypeScript preferred).

Proven experience building automation frameworks from scratch.

Expertise in UI automation, API testing, and end-to-end testing strategies.

Knowledge of visual testing tools and accessibility testing.

Experience integrating Playwright tests into CI/CD pipelines (e.g., GitHub Actions).

Solid understanding of test design patterns, page object models, and modular frameworks.

Experience with version control systems (Git) and code review processes.

Strong debugging and analytical skills.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience with BDD frameworks (e.g., Cucumber) in conjunction with Playwright.

Knowledge of performance and security testing fundamentals.

Familiarity with cloud platforms (Azure).

Exposure to containerization tools like Docker.
