What You’ll Do
- Lead and mentor the QA team, ensuring accuracy and excellence in all quality documentation, testing, and reporting.
- Oversee all food safety programs, including HACCP, GMPs, SSOPs, sanitation, and pest control.
- Maintain BRC certification standards, ensuring audit readiness throughout the year and successfully leading BRC audits.
- Serve as the primary liaison for customers, regulatory agencies, and auditors—addressing specifications, quality inquiries, and documentation needs.
- Manage quality testing for all products, including microbiological, chemical, physical, and sensory evaluations.
- Investigate quality issues and customer concerns, driving corrective and preventive actions to improve processes.
- Champion a culture of safety, compliance, and continuous improvement throughout the plant.
What We’re Looking For
- Experience: 5+ years in Quality Assurance, with at least 3 years in a supervisory or management role within a food manufacturing environment.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in food science or related field.
- Technical Expertise: Strong working knowledge of HACCP, GMPs, sanitation programs, and regulatory compliance.
- BRC Expertise: Proven experience leading and passing BRC audits, with the ability to maintain all program elements year-round.
- Leadership Skills: A coach and motivator who can lead teams while collaborating across departments.
- Tech-Savvy: Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and strong organizational skills for managing documentation and data.
