Magnolia Foods, LLC is looking for a temporary associate to join our Quality Department in a food manufacturing environment. This assignment is expected to last 3–5 months.


SUMMARY OF FUNCTIONS

Responsible for various inspections and activities related to product quality throughout the facility, in accordance with SQF standards, industry SOPs, line specifications, and customer specifications. Ensures that all products processed in the food manufacturing environment comply with established quality and regulatory requirements.


DUTIES

The duties listed below are representative but not all‑inclusive. Employees in this position may be required to perform additional job‑related tasks as assigned by management.

Food Safety Requirements / Responsibilities
  • Perform analysis and verification activities required under the Safe Quality Food (SQF) System.

  • Ensure all production process controls are followed.

  • Comply with all Plant, State, and Federal regulations including OSHA, EPA, FDA, HACCP, and SQF.

  • Follow all GMPs within the plant.

  • Conduct monitoring activities to ensure finished products meet food safety and quality specifications.

  • Participate in the annual review of the food safety system.

  • Assist in maintaining the Food Safety and Quality System.


In‑Line Inspection
  • Conduct moisture and pH testing.

  • Perform product quality evaluations, including shelf‑life and sample retention programs.

  • Conduct pre‑operational and in‑line production inspections.

  • Record production and packaging conditions according to procedures.

  • Process non‑conforming product according to established company quality standards.

  • Document abnormal production conditions and communicate immediately with the Production Supervisor and QA Manager.

  • Prepare and maintain required documentation of test results.

  • Calibrate all equipment used for in‑line inspections.

  • Conduct daily and monthly GMP walk‑throughs and sanitation inspections.

  • Perform ATP testing and environmental swabbing.

  • Monitor environmental air quality and inspect employee hygiene practices.

  • Enter data into required records and systems.


Material Sampling and Inspection
  • Perform receiving inspections based on material specifications and inspection checklists.

  • Train receiving personnel on raw and packaging material inspection procedures.

  • Collect samples of raw ingredients and packaging materials used in production.

  • Organize and update the Packaging and Raw Material Catalogue.

  • Organize and update Certificates of Analysis (COAs) from suppliers.

  • Inspect customer‑returned product.
