Summary:
This role focuses on building and owning automation test flows for Omni Spec using Astra Automation. It involves creating and executing automated tests for API and Kafka-based applications, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and continuously improving test automation processes. The candidate must have expertise in Java, Python, and various testing tools.

Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts using Astra Automation
• Create and manage automated tests for API and Kafka-based applications (unit, contract, functional, and e2e testing)
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define and enhance test strategies
• Execute tests, analyze results, and provide detailed reports on defects
• Continuously improve test automation frameworks and processes
• Maintain and update test documentation, tools, and version control systems
• Actively participate in Agile/Scrum processes and provide regular updates to stakeholders
• Support transitioning and maintaining scripts for business users

Skills/Qualifications:

• 5+ years of experience in software testing based on the SDLC lifecycle
• 3+ years of experience writing automation scripts in Java
• Development experience with Java and Python
• Proficiency in Astra, Junit, TestNG, Selenium, and Karate tooling
• Strong understanding of REST-API code and experience with CI/CD pipelines
• Experience with various types of testing: load, regression, integration, and e2e testing
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work in Agile/Scrum environments
