Qa Utility Samples Apply
Our Home is seeking a detail-oriented QA Utility Samples Technician to join our dedicated team in ensuring the highest quality standards within our production processes. The ideal candidate will work closely with the QA team to handle sampling procedures, documentation, and analysis. This position is vital for maintaining quality assurance processes and ensuring compliance with product specifications and regulatory requirements.
Responsibilities
- Responsible for gathering production and stock sample requests and organizing the completion, packaging and shipment of such requests.
- Perform sensory testing (taste, smell, appearance etc.) on products.
- Validate production and/or quality paperwork.
- Assist in the control of the System (including, but not limited to) QC Hold, GMP, Corrective Actions, Pest Control, Traceability, HACCP, Glass/Brittle item audit.
- Assist with R/D tasks and production sample runs/trials and report.
- Assist in any necessary audit preparations and non-conformance closures.
- Work with other departments to ensure compliance with the Quality System.
- Train new employees and refresher train existing employees in GMP, HACCP and other certifications as needed.
- As needed, assist with customer complaints investigations.
- As needed, assist with required Quality Assurance reports.
- As needed, conduct taste tests to ensure production run matches previous runs/samples.
- As needed, cover the QC Lab for all analytical and required testing. Including Oil, Moisture, Salt and Defect%.
- Thoroughly inspect film/boxes that are received. Release the raw materials if deemed acceptable.
- Perform specialized directed cleanings when requested.
- Responsible for performing the monthly Gluten test.
- Responsible for helping perform the monthly Knife/Scissor inspection.
- Replace all chemical spray bottle labels on a monthly basis.
- Aid the Janitor during audit preparation.
- Perform any other duties as required by Plant Manager or QC Manager.
Requirements
- 1 - 2 years of experience in a quality assurance or production role, preferably in the food manufacturing industry.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in sampling and documentation procedures.
- Basic knowledge of quality assurance principles and testing methods.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
- Must be able to lift/move up to 50 lbs. and work in a warm/humid environment.
- Good communication skills and ability to collaborate with team members.
- Flexibility to work various shifts as needed to meet production demands.
