Job Overview:
Midwestern IT Inc. is seeking a detail-oriented and driven Quality Analyst to join our dynamic team in New Jersey. The ideal candidate will play a critical role in ensuring the quality and reliability of software products through systematic testing and analysis. This position involves close collaboration with development, business, and QA teams to ensure that all products meet company and customer expectations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and execute test plans, test cases, and test scripts for web and mobile applications
  • Identify, document, and track software defects and issues using tools like JIRA or equivalent
  • Perform functional, regression, integration, and user acceptance testing
  • Collaborate with developers and stakeholders to clarify requirements and resolve issues
  • Monitor and report on testing progress and results to project stakeholders
  • Ensure software compliance with quality standards and customer requirements
  • Participate in reviews of design documents and specifications
  • Contribute to process improvements within the QA team
Required Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field
  • 0 3 years of experience in quality assurance or software testing
  • Familiarity with software QA methodologies, tools, and processes
  • Experience with test management and defect tracking tools (e.g., JIRA, TestRail)
  • Understanding of SDLC and Agile methodologies
  • Knowledge of automation tools is a plus (e.g., Selenium, Postman)
  • Strong attention to detail, analytical thinking, and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
