The Quality Analyst is responsible for performing a variety of analytical procedures to ensure the quality of the medical devices manufactured at Nipro Renal Solutions USA. They will handle sensitive equipment to analyze samples or substances and conduct tests to determine concentrations within a specified acceptance range. This position works in a team of other Quality Analysts who are hard-working, self-motivated, and passionate about working with a purpose. The success of this role is dependent on making forward progress toward the goal of optimizing and improving laboratory procedures and the quality system. The Quality Analyst is critical to ensure Nipro Renal Solutions USA maintains production of safe and effective medical devices. This is a 2nd Shift 2:30pm - 11:00pm. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Quality Analyst I: Obtain, label and analyze production samples Execute laboratory testing according to standard procedures, making necessary observations and interpreting findings Organize and store all chemical substances and laboratory supplies according to safety instructions Record all data and results from testing on specified forms (paper and electronic) with accuracy and precision Maintain laboratory equipment and assist in ordering laboratory supplies Ensure that all safety guidelines are always followed and maintain a clean and orderly workplace environment Proofread product labels Assist in calibration program for the Quality Laboratory ensuring all equipment is calibrated and operational. Review and record product returns for customer complaints. Education, Certifications and/or Work Experience Requirements: Associate degree in biology, chemistry or relevant field; in lieu of a college degree, extensive, relevant technical, clinical and related industry experience may be considered. One year of Laboratory experience required. Skills/Knowledge Requirements: Experience in operating electrical and nonelectrical laboratory equipment, including trouble shooting and problem-solving OOS results and equipment failures. Experience with pipetting, microbial plating, titrations, chemical assays, or other scientific techniques Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including ability to effectively communicate with internal departments and external vendors. Must be able to work under pressure and meet deadlines, while maintaining a positive attitude and providing exemplary customer service Ability to work independently and to carry out assignments to completion within parameters of instructions given, prescribed routines, and standard accepted practices. Task management, organization, and prioritization Physical Requirements: Ability to consistently perform the essential job functions safely and successfully with the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state, and local standards, including meeting qualitative and/or quantitative productivity standards. Ability to maintain regular, punctual attendance consistent with the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state, and local standards.
