Responsibilities Execute test plans to ensure quality, stability, and reliability for internal and external business systems used by Adrian Steel and subsidiaries Execute testing strategies for custom-developed applications as well as third-party platforms and integrations Collaborate closely with developers and business analysts to ensure new features meet acceptance criteria, functional requirements, and quality standards Validate that unit tests, integration tests, and automated tests appropriately cover risk areas and business-critical scenarios Create, document, and maintain repeatable test cases, regression suites, and test data sets that support ongoing development and release cycles Identify, document, and track defects; work with development teams to ensure timely resolution and retest Ensure adherence to ITIL practices within the QA process Participate in release readiness activities to ensure software is tested, validated, and prepared for deployment Provide innovative and creative approaches to improving overall quality, reducing defects, and increasing testing efficiency Key Behaviors Fundamental understanding of current-state business processes for Adrian Steel and subsidiaries Knowledge of our corporate internal and external business systems Future focused; proactively identifies risks, gaps, and areas for quality improvement Strong analytical and critical thinking skills, with the ability to challenge assumptions constructively Ability to communicate confidently and effectively with all levels of leadership, developers, and business stakeholders Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail Ability to meet timelines and execute a consistent QA plan across projects Strong organizational skills; disciplined in documentation, defect tracking, and test management High integrity, well respected and trustworthy with internal stakeholders Ability to handle high-pressure situations by responding thoughtfully rather than reacting Collaborative mindset; works effectively with project teams to ensure successful releases Education/Skills Bachelor’s Degree in CS/CIS/MIS preferred; company will consider a combination of education and experience Minimum 5+ years’ experience in software quality assurance, testing, or development Strong understanding of the software development lifecycle (SDLC) and Agile methodologies Familiarity with unit testing concepts, frameworks, and best practices Experience creating and executing test cases, test plans, and regression test suites Experience validating integrations, APIs, microservices, and RESTful Web Services Technical understanding sufficient to read and analyze changes in code (C#, .NET, Python, JavaScript, etc.) Hands-on experience with SQL for test data validation and troubleshooting Experience with automated testing tools (Cypress, Playwright, Selenium, etc.) preferred Experience with ITIL processes or certification preferred Familiarity with Microsoft Power Platform (PowerApps, Flow, PowerBI) is a plus Experience testing cloud-based solutions (AWS, Azure) Experience validating SaaS platforms and third-party business applications Comfort working with ITSM platforms and defect tracking systems Additional Requirements Must meet and maintain all requirements to be a “Driver” as defined in Adrian Steel Fleet Corporate Driving Policy Valid driver’s license Acceptable driving record (Adrian Steel authorized) Benefits Offered 401K Medical / Health Savings Account Dental Employee Assistance Teladoc Group Life Short / Long Term Disability Health & Wellness Programs Vision Voluntary Benefits include Critical Illness, Accident Insurance, and Hospital Indemnity Paid Time Off Paid Holidays Flexible Schedules We are committed to fostering a safe work environment—one that celebrates diversity, offers equal opportunities and where all employees feel secure, involved, valued, and respected.
