Quality Assurance Intern Department: Quality/Regulatory, Corporate Location: Itasca, IL Type: 12 Week Internship Summary This internship will center on a quality assurance focused project that involves collaborating with multiple business entities across the organization to gather, review, and evaluate quality‑related documentation. They will work with cross‑functional teams to understand how different business units apply industry standards, quality controls, and regulatory requirements within their operations. Through this project, they will gain hands‑on experience reviewing documentation for accuracy, consistency, and compliance with applicable quality and regulatory standards. By engaging with various teams, they will build professional relationships, learn about each entity’s business processes, and understand how quality assurance practices may vary across industries and business functions. Duties Support day‑to‑day QA operations by assisting with documentation management, process improvement, and cross‑functional collaboration. Work closely with internal teams, vendors, and project managers to ensure quality, compliance, and audit readiness across multiple business entities. Gain hands on experience with quality systems, vendor approvals, RMAs, and customer inquiries. Expected Outcome This internship is to strengthen skills in quality assurance, data management, and professional communication while gaining meaningful, hands‑on experience in a regulated food industry environment. By the end of the internship, the intern will have developed a solid understanding of different food regulations and quality requirements as they apply across multiple business entities. Overall, this internship is designed to provide practical experience that supports professional growth and prepares the intern for future roles in quality assurance, food safety, and related fields. Qualifications Expected graduation of December 2026 or May 2027 from a food science, biology, chemistry, or any related field. Strong attention to detail. Have the ability to adapt to a change in direction and priority in a sometimes‑fast paced environment. Proactive approach to gathering information from different team members. Must be a strong professional who can effectively communicate, both written and verbal. Demonstrated computer proficiency (Microsoft Office: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, etc.).
