JOB DESCRIPTIONWe are seeking to hire a Construction Quality Inspector for a new Data Center project in Southern Virginia. The construction quality inspector ensures construction projects adhere to plans, specifications, and regulations. They conduct inspections, assess materials, and document findings, often requiring strong communication and problem-solving skills. They play a crucial role in maintaining quality, safety, and compliance throughout the construction process. Key Responsibilities: Inspections: Conduct regular site visits to monitor construction progress, ensuring adherence to approved plans, specifications, and relevant codes. Material Assessment: Evaluate the quality and suitability of construction materials, including concrete, steel, and other components. Compliance: Verify compliance with safety regulations, building codes, and environmental standards. Documentation: Maintain detailed records of inspections, including photographs, reports, and test results. Reporting: Prepare comprehensive reports detailing inspection findings, including any deviations or non-conformances. Communication: Communicate effectively with contractors, engineers, project managers, and other stakeholders regarding inspection results and necessary corrective actions. Problem Solving: Identify potential issues and collaborate with project teams to develop effective solutions. Testing: May conduct or oversee field and laboratory tests on materials to assess their quality and performance. pay is between 45-60/hrREQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE8-10 years of experience Prefer mechanical experience, but will take Electrical if needed. Meticulous approach to inspections and documentation. Data Center experience. Construction Understanding of construction methods, materials, and relevant codes and standards. Proficiency in using tools for measurement and inspection, such as calipers, micrometers, and testing equipment Safety Awareness: , Thorough understanding of safety protocols and regulations.NICE TO HAVE SKILLS AND EXPERIENCEPrefer a degree or certification in construction management, engineering, or a related field, or sufficient experience.
