Quality ManagerWe are supporting a leading advanced manufacturing business in the recruitment of a Quality Manager. This is a senior position within the Quality function, acting as second-in-command and supporting the delivery of quality assurance, compliance, and continuous improvement across a complex manufacturing environment.This role offers the opportunity to lead a team, influence site-wide quality performance, and play a key part in maintaining industry-leading standards, as well as clear defined progression.ResponsibilitiesSupport the Quality team in maintaining compliance with AS9100, NADCAP and customer-specific requirementsManage and improve the Quality Management System (QMS), ensuring documentation and processes remain robust and compliantLead internal audits and support external audits from customers, regulatory bodies and accreditation organisationsEnsure effective root cause analysis and close-out of audit findings and non-conformancesOversee product and process quality, including inspection activities, non-conformance management and concessionsLead, develop and manage a team of Quality Engineers and TechniciansSupport customer and supplier quality activities, including audits, approvals and performance managementDrive continuous improvement initiatives focused on yield, scrap reduction and process capabilityPromote a strong quality and continuous improvement culture across the siteKey RequirementsDegree qualified in Engineering, Materials Science or a related discipline (or equivalent experience)Proven experience within aerospace, automotive or defence manufacturingStrong working knowledge of AS9100 or IATF 16949 requirementsNADCAP knowledge is highly desirableExperience managing and developing a Quality teamBackground in auditing and quality compliance (internal auditor certification desirable)Strong problem-solving skills with experience in structured root cause analysisConfident communicator with the ability to influence stakeholders across all levelsExperience with APQP, PPAP and SPC methodologies (desirable)
