Salary: £80,500

Queens Park Care is proud to partner with a premium care home provider to recruit a Quality Assurance Manager for their nursing homes in England and Scotland.
 


Our client operates seven care homes across the UK.
They are committed to providing the highest standards of care to their residents with the philosophy of providing a friendly and homely atmosphere where residents can live a full life.


The provider seeks an experienced Quality and Compliance leader to oversee quality and compliance across all services.
You will provide targeted support to services to ensure that they meet their regulatory requirements and highlight early areas that need support.
In addition, you will provide support across all services regarding audit outcomes whilst constantly working on ways to improve.


The role of the Quality Assurance Manager involves examining and highlighting risks in clinical areas and monitoring and dealing with any risks that may arise.
Responsible for ensuring residents are cared for appropriately at all times and that care is of an optimum standard.


Working closely with the Regional Director, the role will directly interact with various departments, multiple areas, and managers across the business.

The Candidate:

Essential
  • Minimum of 3 years of quality experience within an elderly care setting as a Quality Manager, Regional Support Manager or Home Manager 
  • UK driving license, access to a vehicle, and ability to fly to London, including regular overnight stays
  • Have good knowledge of CQC and CIS regulations 
  • Have knowledge of care planning and quality systems 
  • Be able to redevelop and imbed policies and procedures 
  • Had exposure of LSI and safeguarding 
  • Be familiar with risk management
Desirable  
  • Registered clinical professional with active Pin
  • Experience with Nourish Care Management Software 
  • Experience with successfully managing a nursing home 

The Role:
  • Responsible for the continuing development and promotion of a proactive quality assurance framework across the company
  • Manage and coordinate clinical audits within the services
  • Maintain awareness of policy and recommendations from the Department of Health, NICE, CQC, CI and other national and local advisors
  • Be responsible for setting up all quality matters for any new services
  • Plan, develop and evaluate methods and processes for gathering, analysing, interpreting and presenting a Performance and Quality Improvement Plan
  • Ensure the production of regular reports and information to the senior management team, identifying potential risks and any actions that may be taken
  • Monitor regulator quality ratings and assessments.
    Review and direct actions as necessary to continually improve ratings
  • Implement plans to tackle underperformance
  • Maintain evidence, reports and standards to achieve a minimum CQC rating of "Good" and CI rating of "5"
  • Reviewing existing procedures to ensure they meet the current relevant guidelines

Location:

Head office in Bushey, Hertfordshire, in the East of England, with services in Aylesbury, Bushey, Dumfries, Greenock, Helensborough, Peterborough, and St Albans.
Ideally, you will reside within 60 minutes of Glasgow Airport.
