This is a highly visible, field-focused leadership role with extensive travel, strong compensation, and long-term project stability.If you have a deep background in construction quality management, enjoy being in the field, and know how to build and enforce quality systems across complex projects, this role offers a chance to make real impact.Key Responsibilities:Quality Leadership & ExecutionLead project quality teams through planning, execution, and closeout phasesEnsure effective implementation of project quality plans, procedures, and inspection programsLead quality discussions during project kick-off meetings and throughout project executionMonitoring, Oversight & CompliancePerform and schedule audits, inspections, and surveillance activitiesEnsure compliance with contractual, legal, regulatory, and ISO 9001 requirementsReview and approve quality plans, procedures, and inspection reportsIdentify, document, track, and resolve non-conformances and corrective actionsDocumentation & Quality SystemsManage and maintain quality-related project documentation, reports, records, and auditsEnsure proper document control at job sites, including drawings, test records, and subcontractor documentationSupport continuous improvement and maintenance of the Quality Management SystemContinuous ImprovementAnalyze quality metrics and KPIs to drive corrective and preventive actionsImplement lessons learned and best practices across projectsSupport internal and external audits as requiredCollaboration & LeadershipPartner closely with project management, construction teams, subcontractors, and clientsReport quality performance and metrics to project leadershipMentor, guide, and lead quality staff in the fieldRequired Experience & Qualifications12+ years of experience in construction or design quality management (degree not required with experience)Required experience supporting EPC, Design-Build, or CMAR projectsStrong leadership experience managing quality teamsAdvanced proficiency with ProcoreStrong understanding of inspection and testing programsSolid knowledge of safety, environmental, and regulatory requirementsOSHA 10-hour and 30-hour certificationsPreferred QualificationsBachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or similarCMQ/OE (Certified Manager of Quality / Organizational Excellence)Inspection, testing, welding, bolting, commissioning, or related certificationsExperience in power delivery, utilities, or large infrastructure projectsKey SkillsStrong technical understanding of construction methods, materials, and specificationsExcellent attention to detail and analytical skillsConfident, decisive leadership styleStrong communication, planning, and organizational skillsAbility to evaluate KPIs and implement practical solutionsTravel & Benefits90% travel (can live anywhere in the U.S.)Per diem providedMonthly paid travel home (4 days)Company vehicle providedBenefits include:Competitive compensation401(k) retirement planPaid Time Off & holiday payComprehensive health coveragePet insuranceEmployee Assistance Program (EAP)Professional development & tuition assistanceEmployee discount programs
