API is a trusted partner for precision manufacturing solutions, meeting the rigorous demands of various industries.Role DescriptionThis is a full-time, on-site role located in Harwood Heights, IL, for the Head of Quality Assurance. Responsibilities include leading the development, implementation, and maintenance of quality assurance systems to ensure compliance with ISO standards. The role involves overseeing quality control procedures, conducting internal quality audits, managing quality improvement projects, and analyzing production processes to guarantee high-quality manufacturing outputs. The Head of Quality Assurance will collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive continuous improvement and ensure customer satisfaction.Qualifications (PLEASE READ ALL)Proficiency in Quality Control and Quality Auditing to ensure compliance with internal and external quality standardsStrong Analytical Skills to evaluate data, identify trends, and implement corrective actions, 8D. Six sigma certification is a plusExpertise in Quality Management and Quality Assurance practices to uphold and improve manufacturing standards.Excellent leadership and communication skills to manage teams effectively and coordinate cross-departmental collaborationMaintain ISO 9001:2015 quality systems and conduct audits.Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Quality Management, or a related field (or equivalent work experience)Experience in the manufacturing industry, preferably in a precision-based production environment.PPAPGage calibrationKey member to lead MRBPrimary QA contact for customers.Responsible for control plan development and FMEA.Proficient in use of Micrometers, optical comparator, caliper. ( video measurement systems are a plus but we can train.)Experienced quality management in a machining environment is required. Turned parts is a major plus.
