The Judge Group is currently seeking an experienced Quality Assurance/Quality Control Manager for a beverage manufacturer in the Kenner, LA area. The right candidate will have 8+ years of experience working in the food industry with 2+ years in a management capacity in beverage and either SQF Quality Standard experience.COMPENSATION: $105,000 to $125,000 plus bonus (Depending on experience) Relocation assistance offered for the right candidate. MUST HAVE: A bachelor’s degreeMUST HAVE: SQF or equivalent/parallel certification (not just worked in a facility that is certified)MUST HAVE: 8+ years of manufacturing experience with 4+ years in a Management capacityMUST HAVE: The desire to be out on the floor and not at a desk in an office and a buck stops here attitudeMUST HAVE: Food manufacturing experiencePREFER TO HAVE: Beverage packaging experienceResponsibilities:- Develop, implement, and evaluate the Quality assurance program to ensure production operations (Raw materials to finished products) meet the quality standards- Supervise a team of Quality Assurance Technicians, Lab Techs, and the sanitation team- Oversees the quality control department and supervisory staff- Conducts performance evaluations- Handle discipline and terminations- Act as the SQF Practitioner- Evaluates production operations- Draft acceptable quality standards- Implements quality standard testing and evaluation processes- Inspect test results and approves / recommended changes / improvements- Review documentation (Checklists, Logs, Reports) for accuracy- Conduct random inspections and quality control checks- Report status of quality control and operationsRequirements:- Bachelor’s degree in Food Science, Biology, or related field required- 5+ years as a food quality supervisor or similar role- Must have a HACCP training certification or PCIQ certification (SQF preferred)- Experience in fluid food manufacturing environment- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills- Strong supervisory and leadership skills
