We are looking for a Quality Assurance Manager on 1st shift. This is a DIRECT HIRE opportunity and pay is $75-$95K. You will be maintaining a comprehensive Quality Assurance program that complies with the company, ISO, ASIC and/or customer requirements. Ensuring the adequacy of QA plans to be implemented by the project contractors, subcontractors, vendors and suppliers providing for consistency and adequacy of the control measures and ensuring that the QA program for company projects is understood, implemented and maintained by all project participants through all the design and construction processes.


Qualifications
  • College Level Degree in related field or 5+ years’ Work Experience in Steel Fabrication & Erection Quality Assurance.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of all aspects of Quality Assurance principles including drawing control: document control; process control; inspection and testing; product identification and traceability; and quality audits.
  • AWS Certified Weld Inspector. (ability to obtain after hire).
  • NACE/SSPC Basic Coatings Inspector/CIP Level 1 Certification (ability to obtain after hire).
  • Sound understanding of construction techniques and methods.
  • Must be able to read and interpret job specifications, document project activity and have ability for continuous learning of new processes.
  • Must have valid driver’s license.
  • Ability to follow instructions and maintain logical follow-through on all projects.
  • Efficiently answer and respond to questions regarding projects and resolve maintenance issues without supervision.
  • Ability to work in fast-paced, high-volume environment and ensure department and company goals and deadlines are met on schedule and efficiently.
  • Microsoft Office familiar experience and has ability to learn other computer operating systems.
  • Proficiency in steel and warehouse operations; safety certifications and OSHA compliance.
  • Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds.


  • Responsibilities
  • Main Point of Contact, and Lead for All A.I.S.C., and I.S.O. Activities, including Annual Audits, Answering Finding, and Updating Manuals as required.
  • Inspect parts after completion of each fabrication process (layout, fit-up, weld, paint, etc.)
  • Ensures each piece is properly tagged for shipping (metal and paper).
  • Competency in the Use of Weld Gages, Rulers, Measuring Tapes, Paint Gages, and other Quality related items.
  • Initiate all NCR’s, Investigates to Determine Root Cause, using established methods, and Take Appropriate Actions in Accordance with the Quality Assurance Policy.
  • Follow Parts which are Rejected to Ensure They are Fixed, or Scrapped, and Sign Off when Complete.
  • Competency in Surface, and Paint Measuring/Recording Equipment.
  • Tracks metrics (FPY and Cost).
  • Direct, facilitate, and maintain QS90000, ISO 9001:2015, and AISC certifications and compliance.
  • Manage process control through procedures, work instructions, and specifications.
  • Maintains QMS (quality management system).
  • Supervise quality control personnel.
  • May be required to travel to job site to check material.
  • Runs dyes penetrate test or other visual test, per customer and/or company request.
