POSITION: The Quality Manager will be responsible for maintaining and improving the organization’s quality systems while supporting manufacturing operations through process improvement, supplier quality oversight, and corrective action management. This role works cross-functionally with engineering, operations, and materials teams to ensure products meet established quality standards and regulatory requirements. The position also plays a key role in internal audits, continuous improvement initiatives, and quality process development.RESPONSIBILITIES:Identify opportunities for quality improvement across manufacturing processes and support implementation of corrective actions.Evaluate supplier quality systems and coordinate corrective actions when vendor performance does not meet established standards.Develop and implement inspection methods while assessing the reliability and consistency of manufacturing processes.Manage the Internal Quality Audit program to ensure compliance with established quality systems and standards.Participate in and lead change management initiatives that impact quality processes and procedures.Determine when First Article Inspection Requests (FAIR) are required and manage the process through completion.Plan and deliver employee training programs that support quality processes and continuous improvement initiatives.Lead or support major quality and process improvement projects as assigned.Assist in the development and implementation of inspection criteria and quality standards.Document work processes, procedures, and work instructions while identifying opportunities for improvement.Investigate product non-conformances by collaborating with Materials and Operations teams to determine root cause and implement sustainable corrective actions.Manage the Corrective Action program to ensure timely resolution of quality issues and long-term process improvements.Perform additional duties as required to support quality and operational objectives. QUALIFICATIONS:BS degree in Quality, Engineering, or a related technical discipline, or an equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.2–5 years of applied experience in quality engineering, quality management, or a related role within a manufacturing environment.Experience working with Quality Management Systems (QMS), including ISO-9001 and AAR M-1003 standards.Six Sigma Green Belt certification or higher preferred.Certified Quality Auditor (ISO-9001) preferred.ASQ certification or other recognized quality certification preferred.Working knowledge of Lean Manufacturing tools and continuous improvement methodologies.Ability to interpret technical procedures, engineering documentation, and regulatory requirements.Effective communication and collaboration skills with the ability to work across multiple levels of the organization and mentor team members as needed.Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications and general computer systems.Willingness and ability to travel up to 30% as required.Strong problem-solving, analytical, and organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
