Quality Assurance Specialist Apply
About the Role Join our Operations team as a Quality Assurance Specialist focused on testing health benefit plans for accuracy before they go live. You'll partner closely with our AIS (plan build) team , working across several internal systems to validate that each plan matches the client's specifications. When issues are found—commonly around deductibles, out-of-pocket maximums, or mail pricing rules —you'll document them clearly and collaborate with AIS to correct and retest. There is no phone work with members or clients; communication is primarily within the internal team and AIS counterparts. After training, you'll work from a scorecard and are expected to process about 25 plans per week . This is a non‑IT role within Operations—ideal for detail-oriented professionals who enjoy heads-down analysis, structured workflows, and measurable output. What You'll Do Review newly built benefit plans against client specifications and internal standards. Validate plan logic across multiple systems; identify discrepancies in deductibles, OOP max, copays/coinsurance, and pricing . Document defects with clear reproduction steps and partner with AIS to remediate issues. Retest corrected plans to confirm accuracy and approve for next workflow stage. Track personal productivity/quality against a scorecard ; target ~ 25 plans/week post‑training. Follow established SOPs for testing, documentation, version control, and handoffs. Collaborate professionally via chat/email with internal QA and AIS peers (no external or member calls). Minimum Qualifications Two to four‑year degree required (preference for majors with strong research/analysis: Math, Biology, Business, Healthcare Administration, History ). 1+ year of Excel experience (basic functions; no VLOOKUPs/Pivots required) and ability to pass a short Excel assessment. Exceptional attention to detail , organization, and time management. Comfortable working to production targets in a structured, deadline-driven environment. Training & Schedule Training: ~ 2 weeks + 2 days classroom style (8:00 AM–4:30 PM CST), followed by 2–3 weeks in a practice inbox before moving to live production. Hours: 40 hours/week; choose a schedule that covers 9:00 AM–3:00 PM CST and communicate your preference to your supervisor. Peak Season Mandatory OT (weekends): Nov 22‑23 Dec 6‑7 Dec 13‑14 Dec 27‑28 (complete 8 hours across each two‑day window, e.g., 8+0, 4+4, or 3+5).
