Quality Assurance Supervisor Apply
Our client is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Quality Assurance Supervisor with a strong background in food manufacturing—particularly in sauces and fruit-based products. This role is critical in ensuring food safety, regulatory compliance, and continuous quality improvement across production lines. The ideal candidate will bring leadership, technical expertise, and a passion for driving excellence in quality systems.Key Responsibilities Lead quality assurance protocols for sauce and fruit processing operations Conduct audits, inspections, and analytical testing to ensure compliance and product integrity Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve quality issues and implement process improvements Manage rework processes, hold procedures, and customer complaint investigations Train and mentor QA staff and production operators on quality standards and documentation Support internal and external audits, including SQF, USDA, FDA, and Organic certifications Oversee calibration of lab equipment and participate in facility housekeeping audits Supervise a team of 3–8 non-exempt employees, including scheduling and performance managementQualifications Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Food Science, Agriculture, or related field 5+ years of progressive QA leadership in the food industry (sauces or canning preferred) Certifications: PCQI, HACCP (BPC preferred or ability to obtain within 6 months) Strong knowledge of food safety regulations, lab techniques, and quality systems Excellent communication, problem-solving, and time management skills Flexibility to work weekends or extended hours during peak productionSalary: $90,000-125,000
