Location: Sandpoint, ID | Full-Time


The QA Supervisor champions food safety and quality across the plant, ensuring products meet regulatory, customer, and company standards. This role drives continuous improvement, leads quality systems execution, and serves as a key partner to Operations in delivering safe, high-quality products every day.


What you will do

  • Lead plant-level quality assurance activities to ensure compliance with FSMA, SQF (GFSI), and third-party audit standards

  • Promote and model food safety and quality practices, including HACCP, GMPs, and SQF principles

  • Oversee inspections, testing, sampling, product release, and hold programs for incoming, in-process, and finished goods

  • Conduct first-case checks and in-process quality checks throughout production

  • Investigate quality issues, customer complaints, and audit findings using root cause analysis and corrective action processes

  • Analyze quality data (e.g., MVI, NWA) to identify trends, prevent issues, and drive improvements

  • Review, update, and standardize quality policies and procedures to ensure regulatory and corporate compliance

  • Perform housekeeping and food safety audits; follow up on corrective actions

  • Serve as the primary plant backup for quality and food safety issues

  • Support continuous improvement initiatives and other assigned quality activities


What you bring

  • Bachelor's degree preferred; equivalent education and experience considered

  • 1-3 years of experience in Quality Assurance or food manufacturing

  • Working knowledge of food safety systems, laboratory testing, and inspection methods

  • Ability to operate and maintain lab equipment (e.g., pH meters, moisture analyzers)

  • Understanding of basic statistics and data analysis

  • Experience with quality or inventory systems (e.g., NWA, ROSS, SharePoint) preferred

  • Strong communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills

  • Ability to work independently, manage priorities, and collaborate cross-functionally

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint)
