QUALITY ASSURANCE SUPERVISOR
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
• Lead, train, and provide direction to QA Technicians and QA Leads
• Review timeclock activity and prepare weekly personnel schedules
• Oversee and support the daily QA workflow on the production floor
• Assist with training new Quality team members on Food Quality and Food Safety standards
• Participate in root cause investigations involving customer complaints, foreign material, and quality failures
• Support disciplinary actions in line with company policy
• Must be able to work additional hours or mandatory overtime when needed to support production
• Demonstrate strong organizational, interpersonal, and leadership skills
• Maintain professional, courteous conduct at all times
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications
PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
• Ensure the safety and legality of all food products
• Demonstrate proficiency in leading Quality Leads and Technicians
• Combine supervision, training, and coaching to support QA team development and partner effectively with Operations, Warehouse, and Sanitation
• Maintain product quality, food safety, and regulatory compliance at all times
• Train QA staff and production personnel on safety, quality, GMP, and regulatory requirements
• Organize and manage the QA team’s daily work schedule
• Ensure accurate reporting of all testing data
• Conduct or support root cause investigations related to complaints, foreign material, or quality failures, and ensure CAPAs are completed
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve non-conformances
• Maintain knowledge of FDA regulations, Pest Control, HACCP, BRC, Food Defense, and general Food Safety & Quality programs
• Understand and manage Quality Hold procedures, including placing items on hold and maintaining the hold log
• Understand production specifications and processing standards
• Ensure equipment testing and calibration procedures are followed and maintain current calibration certificates
• Provide backup support to QA Technicians, QA Leads, and the QA Assistant Manager as needed
• Perform additional duties as assigned
• Effectively multitask
• Listen and follow instructions accurately
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Education:
• BA or BS in a scientific field, or
• High School Diploma with relevant experience
Experience:
• 3+ years in a cGMP environment such as Food Manufacturing or Nutritional Products (preferred)
• Prior team leadership experience required
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
• Highly organized with strong time-management skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, along with attentive listening skills
• English fluency essential; bilingual a plus but not required
• Strong problem-solving abilities to support resolution of quality issues

PHYSICAL DEMANDS
• Ability to stand for 8–12 hours
• Ability to lift, carry, handle, and grasp up to 25 lbs
• Ability to push/pull wheeled carts up to 100 lbs
• Ability to climb stairs occasionally
• Ability to work in varying climate environments
