As the Quality Assurance Team Leader at New Flyer, you will play a vital role in ensuring that our products meet the highest quality standards. You will lead a team of Quality Assurance Technicians, guiding them in performing inspections and tests, documenting findings, and driving process improvements. This leadership position requires strong communication skills and the ability to foster a culture of quality within the team and across departments.

  • Provide oversight and support to QA Technicians during inspections of production processes.
  • Review and analyze quality control reports, addressing any issues proactively.
  • Lead continuous improvement initiatives within the quality department.
  • Collaborate with production supervisors and other departments to identify quality trends and implement corrective actions.
  • Conduct training sessions for the QA team on quality standards and procedures.
  • Coordinate with external customers and inspectors as needed to resolve quality-related issues.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in a quality assurance role, with prior supervisory or leadership experience preferred.
  • Strong understanding of quality control methodologies and processes.
  • Familiarity with ISO 9001 standards and compliance.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to effectively communicate technical information and foster teamwork.
  • Proficient in using measurement and testing instruments.
  • Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
  • Ability to multitask and lead projects effectively.
  • Willingness to obtain and maintain necessary certifications and licenses.
