Position Summary: 

The vital importance of this role will be to ensure accuracy and detailed quality inspections. This position will be responsible for investigating quality issues as they arise and must be able to report findings as well as work with cell and project teams to develop solutions. 

What you will do: 

  • Understand the Quality system and follow documented processes and procedures. 
  • Perform QA inspections in-station, gateways and Final Verifcation and document snags as well as receiving inspections. 
  • Work with customers and property inspectors to address quality concerns.    
  • Investigate quality issues that may arise on the production floor and be able to report out findings clearly. 
  • Write reject tags for non-conforming product and follow them through to closure. 
  • Use business systems such as Oracle, TeamCenter, and LiveQA. 
  • Collect, organize and analyze data to resolve quality issues and provide reports to communicate accordingly.  

 

Requirements

Skills and Experience: 

  • Must complete and pass job core training class. 
  • Must complete Oracle training with an understanding of bill of material and production completion. 
  • Capable of using all QA measuring equipment necessary to perform inspections. 
  • Must be able to read blue prints and use a variety of precision testing and measuring instruments. 
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, Word, and Excel. 
  • Good oral and written communication skills as well as problem solving/ analytical skills. 
  • Able to work in a cell team environment and interact professionally with customers, property inspectors, and suppliers. 
  • Available to work overtime as required. 
  • Ability to perform required duties with minimal supervision. 
  • Ability to read weld prints and weld symbols is a requirement for this position. 
  • Knowledge, experience, or certification in Magnetic Particle and Liquid Penetrant testing and visual weld inspection are considered highly desirable.  Must be able to obtain New Flyer Level II Weld Inspection Certification within a reasonable amount of time. 
  • Welding experience with CWB certification is required.
