Quality Assurance Technician Apply
Our Client is seeking applicants for an experienced Quality Assurance Technician. The Quality Assurance Technician tests and inspects material, product, and processes at various stages of production in a precast concrete manufacturing environment. May include other job duties as required by management.
Duties:
- Maintain a safe work environment and follow all published/posted safety policies.
- Performs all aspects of the pre-manufacture inspection process, and during and after Production to meet Quality requirements.
- Accurately enters Production and Quality data into computer system.
- Identify, document, and report any Quality problems to Production or Quality Management.
- Look for opportunities to improve material, processes, and products.
- Ensures cleanliness of the lab, testing areas, and equipment.
- Leads by example when displaying the core values, honesty, integrity, work ethic, and respect for others. Treats production and yard teams as the customer when performing timely inspections on products and processes.
- Works as a team player.
- Strives to better himself/herself daily through continuous learning and developing other's technical knowledge.
Qualifications:
- ACI and PCI Certification preferred but will train the right candidate.
- Basic PC skills, such as using Microsoft Word and Excel.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Good verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to read blueprints and/or Production Drawings.
- Ability to perform analytical and math functions.
- Basic understanding of test measurements.
- Problem-solving skills.
- Experience performing concrete tests preferred.
Working conditions: May need to work and communicate with other operations and other departments to understand any quality issues/concerns which may arise. Work performed in a plant environment and occasionally outdoors. Must be able to lift and move 50 lbs., spatial awareness/depth perception, walk, climb, bend at the waist, reach, forceful use of hand tools, vocal projection. Work areas may be hot, humid, drafty, cold, and occasionally littered. Proper housekeeping techniques should be followed to eliminate dirty and cluttered areas. Hazards on the job may include cuts and bruises from handling heavy, bulky, or sharp edged products. These are kept to a minimum by using proper personal protective equipment and following safety regulations.
Schedule
- Must be flexible with start and end times
- Typical start time is between 5am-9am until finish
- Monday - Friday
- Must be available on Saturdays for overtime
- 8-12 hour shifts, overtime is mandatory
- Most crews are working at least 10 hours right now
Compensation
- $18.00 starting rate with no certification
- $20.40 starting rate with current ACI certification
- $22.40 starting rate with current PCI certification
