Quality Assurance Technician Apply
The Quality Assurance Technician is responsible for supporting daily quality assurance activities on the production floor to ensure all products meet company, customer, and regulatory requirements. This role performs inspections, testing, troubleshooting, and documentation. The Quality Assurance Technician reports to the Quality Manager. Key Responsibilities Inspection & Testing Perform incoming material inspections to verify compliance with specifications. Communicate with planning and production to re‑workable nonconforming parts. Send parts to lab for analysis. Perform calibration of inspection tools and test equipment. Manage products in “QA” floor space and racking. Evaluate and process material (IPRF) from production ensuring correct burn‑off transfer codes are used. Manage handling of RMA (Return Material Authorization) products, including evaluation, documentation, and coordination with relevant teams. Review parts from non‑standard work orders and transact to correct location. Initiate nonconformance reports (NCRs) and assist with corrective and preventive action report (CPAR). Support root cause analysis activities. Review completed production records for accuracy and completeness. Verify proper identification, traceability, and segregation of nonconforming materials. Reconcile monthly scrap reports, staging and sorting vendor scrap that needs to be returned to vendors (mostly US brass vendors). Help troubleshoot and resolve assembly problems, such as improper fits, torque issues, sealing failures. Schedule outside recycling bin for pick up. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities High attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines. Strong record‑keeping skills and computer literacy (Microsoft Office). Proficiency with measuring and inspection equipment (calipers, micrometers, gauges, etc.). Ability to organize, prioritize, and manage daily workload. Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications. Strong verbal and written communication skills. Physical Requirements Ability to lift up to 55 pounds.
