Position Title: Quality Assurance Technician

Overview
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented individual to join our Quality Assurance team. This entry-level position offers an excellent opportunity for growth within a collaborative, cross-functional team focused on excellence and continuous improvement. The Quality Assurance Technician will ensure incoming materials meet specifications and finished products align with customer requirements and internal standards.

This role is contract-to-hire with shift hours from 4:00 AM to 2:30 PM, Monday to Friday, and requires availability for overtime and Saturdays as needed.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct inspections of incoming materials to verify compliance with specifications and drawings.
  • Identify and contain non-conforming items across the plant.
  • Analyze defects and make decisions on dispositioning non-compliant products.
  • Document and report product quality levels and inspection findings.
  • Collaborate with team members to troubleshoot and resolve quality issues.
  • Respond promptly to production line concerns related to quality.
  • Follow up with appropriate departments to address identified issues.

Skills & Qualifications

  • Strong communication, interpersonal, and active listening skills.
  • Analytical thinking with solid problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel (data tables, pivot tables, and charts) and PowerPoint.
  • Familiarity with-or the ability to learn-Syteline software.
  • Attention to detail and a commitment to customer satisfaction.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks with flexibility.
  • Commitment to following 6S practices consistently.

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to perform tasks requiring reaching, lifting, twisting, finger dexterity, repetitive motions, and visual acuity.
  • Comfortable alternating between sitting and standing positions.

Work Environment

  • Combination of production, warehouse, and office settings.
  • Regular interaction with employees and vendors.
  • Experience managing tagged inventory and inspecting incoming parts is a plus.
