Position Title: Quality Control Analyst
Location: Safford, AZ
Job Type: Full-Time
Salary: $25.00 - $29.00 per hour (based on experience and qualifications)
Position Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Quality Control Analyst to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring any components or support systems which require service or repair meet rigorous Open Loop Energy quality standards before they reach our customers through inspection.
This role involves detailed component inspection, knowledge of all required testing, and the proper documentation of all findings in accordance with required relevant governing bodies (i.e. AWS, ASME, ASTM, AISI, IFPS, etc.) to maintain our commitment to excellence.
Common Tasks:
- Inspect incoming and outgoing components for defects and quality standards.
- Inspect functional and pressure testing procedures on hydraulic components.
- Document and report inspection results and findings.
- Analyze test data to identify trends and areas for improvement.
- Verify testing equipment calibration data is maintained and current.
- Develop and update quality control procedures.
- Investigate and resolve quality issues and customer complaints.
- Provide feedback for continuous improvement to Quality Assurance Coordinator on existing quality control procedures.
- Provide feedback to Quality Assurance Coordinator on areas for development of new processes/procedures.
Common Responsibilities:
- Ensure compliance with company quality standards and regulations.
- Collaborate with drafting/engineering and production teams to address quality issues.
- Maintain accurate records of quality control inspections.
- Train team members on quality control protocols.
- Collaborate with Quality Assurance Coordinator to implement corrective actions to address non-conformances.
- Monitor production processes to ensure quality is maintained.
- Provide technical support to customers regarding quality concerns.
Common Work Activities:
- Observe inspections and tests on hydraulic components.
- Perform inspections on completed components.
- Documenting and reporting quality control activities.
- Analyzing and interpreting quality control data.
- Maintaining and calibrating quality control equipment.
- Collaborating with team members and Quality Assurance to improve quality processes.
Common Technology Skills:
- Proficiency with precision measuring instruments (e.g., calipers, micrometers, pressure gauges).
- Experience with quality control software and data analysis tools.
- Knowledge of hydraulic system testing equipment.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
- Understanding of ERP systems for quality tracking.
Common Knowledge:
- Knowledge of hydraulic systems and components.
- Understanding of quality control principles and practices.
- Familiarity with industry standards (e.g., ISO 9001).
- Awareness of safety regulations and practices in the hydraulic industry.
- Knowledge of statistical process control methods.
