Job Title: Junior Quality Control Chemist

Job Summary:

The Quality Control Chemist plays a crucial role in ensuring the quality and safety of products in various industries, including pharmaceuticals, cosmetics, food and beverages, and manufacturing. The primary responsibility of a Quality Control Chemist is to perform chemical analysis and tests on raw materials, intermediate products, and finished goods to ensure compliance with quality standards and regulatory requirements. The position requires attention to detail, strong analytical skills, and adherence to strict laboratory protocols.

Key Responsibilities:

Perform routine chemical analysis and testing of raw materials, intermediate products, and finished goods using standard laboratory techniques and equipment.

Conduct qualitative and quantitative analysis of samples using analytical instruments such as HPLC, GC, UV-Vis spectrophotometer, FTIR, and titration apparatus.

Record and analyze test results, ensuring accuracy and precision in reporting.

Identify and investigate any deviations or out-of-specification results, and report them to the supervisor.

Follow standard operating procedures (SOPs) and good laboratory practices (GLP) to ensure compliance with quality standards and safety regulations.

Qualifications and Skills:

Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Analytical Chemistry, or a related field. A master's degree may be preferred for some positions.

Knowledge of analytical techniques and instrumentation commonly used in quality control, such as HPLC, GC, UV-Vis phototypesetter, and wet chemistry techniques.

Familiarity with regulatory guidelines and quality standards, such as FDA regulations, cGMP, ISO, or other relevant industry standards.

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret and analyze complex data.

Attention to detail and the ability to follow standard operating procedures accurately.
