About The Position Are you looking for a hands‑on role in a dynamic manufacturing environment? UTEX Industries is seeking a detail‑oriented Quality Control Inspector to join our Quality team. This role is responsible for inspecting incoming, in‑process, and finished materials to ensure they meet company and customer specifications. The ideal candidate has strong attention to detail, basic measurement skills, and the ability to work effectively in a manufacturing environment. What You’ll Do Perform and document dimensional and visual inspections of production parts and incoming goods Conduct first piece inspections and document ring checks Inspect customer‑supplied inserts per engineering drawings Perform ring checks and approve production tryouts to engineered tolerances Inspect buy‑out materials Notify QC Manager, Manufacturing, and Engineering of non‑conforming materials Prepare shipping certifications Log and verify traceability documentation Utilize Lean Manufacturing tools, including 5S, to improve productivity and eliminate waste Maintain 5S standards within assigned work area Perform additional duties as assigned by the QC Manager What We’re Looking For High school diploma or equivalent; relevant work experience may be considered in lieu of education Minimum of 1 year of related work experience Strong attention to detail Ability to use measuring devices, inspection tools, and basic computer programs Basic math, reading, writing, and communication skills Comfortable with physical tasks like bending, climbing, and kneeling Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs and follow safety protocols Work Environment You’ll work in both manufacturing and office environments, using tools and equipment daily. PPE and steel‑toed footwear are required. Expected Hours Of Work This is a full‑time position, and hours of work and days are Monday through Friday. Occasional evening and weekend work may be required as job duties demand. Why UTEX?
