About Central Moloney (CMI): At Central Moloney, we are committed to providing our customers with the highest-quality products and services. Our transformers undergo rigorous electrical and visual inspections throughout the assembly process to ensure they meet or exceed industry standards. Products that do not meet these quality standards are sent to our Repair Department, where discrepancies are identified and corrected. If a product cannot be repaired, it is disassembled, reusable components are cleaned and returned to inventory, and the transformer is remanufactured.

About the Role: The Quality Control Repair Supervisor is crucial in ensuring this repair and quality assurance process is completed thoroughly, efficiently, and in compliance with customer and company standards. This includes overseeing transformers rejected on the assembly line (“Yellow Tag”), in the yard (“Purple Tag”), or by customers (“Blue Tag”).

Key Responsibilities

  • Supervise and oversee repair operations to ensure all rejected transformers are properly reworked or disassembled in adherence to company quality standards.
  • Organize, monitor, and prioritize repair tasks to meet production and quality expectations.
  • Lead a team of inspectors and testers, ensuring the accuracy of all repair procedures, testing, and calibration of shop test equipment.
  • Ensure compliance with the repair department's safety, quality, and environmental regulations.
  • Monitor quality trends and provide feedback to appropriate departments for continuous improvement.
  • Manage and report all tagged units:
    • Yellow Tag: Rejected on the production line.
    • Purple Tag: Rejected after production.
    • Blue Tag: Warranty-related customer returns.
  • Coordinate and assist in testing Blue Tag (warranty) units to ensure proper resolution.
  • Collect and test oil samples in a lab setting from incoming trucks and internal tanks.
  • Ensure all repair employees are properly trained in CMI’s ISO procedures and quality control standards.
  • Monitor employee productivity and provide constructive feedback and coaching to improve performance.
  • Ensure the availability and flow of raw materials and necessary resources to safely and efficiently conduct repairs.
  • Communicate effectively with employees and leadership to ensure clarity in procedures and policies.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
