Job Title: Quality Control Technician ILocation: Swiftwater, PA- 18370Duration: 12 months contract on W2 Looking for someone with a background in Microbiology or Biological Sciences, ideally with prior Quality Control (QC) Microbiology lab experience, though entry-level candidates with strong microbiology lab training will also be considered. Looking for a detail-oriented, hands-on individual who can perform routine microbiological testing, cleaning, documentation, and support lab operations while adhering to GMP regulations and safety protocols.The role involves repetitive lab work, equipment handling, and sample testing, so patience, consistency, and the ability to follow SOPs precisely are crucial. Candidates must also be comfortable receiving vaccinations and passing an eye exam due to the nature of the work. Day-to-Day TasksPerform microbiology testing – Conduct routine sterility, bioburden, and tissue culture tests to support manufacturing, validation, and stability programs.Prepare samples and equipment – Set up and break down lab equipment, clean glassware, and dispose of lab waste according to protocols.Maintain lab cleanliness – Sanitize workspaces, equipment, and ancillary areas to maintain a sterile environment.Follow strict documentation practices – Record testing data, observations, and results accurately in accordance with cGMP standards.Participate in lab meetings – Attend team and safety meetings to stay updated and contribute to discussions.Support visual inspections – Inspect vials, syringes, plates, etc., for quality compliance.Stay compliant – Adhere to safety protocols, regulatory requirements, and pass required eye exams and vaccinations.
